These aluminum crimp caps are 8mm in diameter with a 4mm center hole and have a Pre-Slit, Ultra-Clean, fitted silicone rubber and PTFE septum that is 1.3mm thick. Use these caps with 8mm Serum Finish, Crimp Top Autosampler Vials. These are Pre-Slit to make it easier for the instrument needle to penetrate the septum and offers reduced resistance. It may not reseal as well as other Non-Slit Septa.

This septa was designed for specific, older instruments such as Agilent 1050 and to provide extra cleaning when "wiping" a needle. Also provides a small degree of better resealing after injection compared to Silicone Rubber / PTFE Septa.
